Acceptance of Terms

Your use of this website constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Use of Website

You may use this site for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:

• Misuse the site or attempt unauthorised access to our systems
• Submit false or misleading reservation or contact information
• Interfere with the operation or security of the website
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce content without written permission
• Use the site for any commercial purpose unrelated to personal bookings

Reservations and Bookings

All cabin reservations are subject to availability and written confirmation from our reservations team. A booking is not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email and any required deposit has been processed. Pricing, amenities, and availability may change without notice until a reservation is confirmed.

Rates, Fees, and Payment

Nightly rates vary by season, cabin, and length of stay. Additional fees including cleaning fees, occupancy taxes, pet fees, and security deposits are disclosed at booking. Payment terms require a 50% deposit to confirm; balance is due 14 days before arrival. We accept major credit cards and bank transfer.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• 30 or more days before arrival: full refund minus $50 processing fee
• 14 to 29 days before arrival: 50% refund of total booking amount
• Fewer than 14 days before arrival: no refund
• No-shows forfeit the entire booking amount

We strongly recommend travel insurance, especially for winter and holiday bookings.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests must comply with all house rules, occupancy limits, quiet hours (10 PM – 8 AM), and local regulations including El Dorado County short-term rental ordinances. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all visitors. Damage beyond normal wear and tear may be charged against the security deposit.

Check-In and Check-Out

Standard check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM unless otherwise arranged. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Digital check-in instructions are provided prior to arrival.

Intellectual Property

All content on this website—including text, photographs, logos, cabin descriptions, and design elements—is owned by Lacus Grufo Cabins or its licensors and is protected by United States copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Information on this site is provided in good faith for general informational purposes. We make no warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Lake and weather conditions, road closures, and third-party services are beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, Lacus Grufo Cabins shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of this website, your stay, or any related services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the affected reservation.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lacus Grufo Cabins from claims arising from your violation of these terms, house rules, or applicable law during your stay or use of our website.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of El Dorado County, California.
